It was inspirational to create pieces with Alexandra Rutsch Brock, Patricia Fabricant, Jada Fabrizio, Melanie Fischer, and Dara Oshin. The project is now scheduled for 4 different exhibitions and counting. To learn more and get involved please visit: www.instagram.com/uspsartproject

Exhibition on view from September 5 - November 23rd

I am pleased to be sharing my work from the series Leviathans in Venice, Italy. This solo show is a series of large narrative paintings and mixed media works created in 2011 in response to Japanese tsunami and the resulting nuclear disaster. The imagery was created by using a mash up of Japanese flood photojournalism juxtaposed with renaissance masterpieces and 18th century etchings of whaling. Whaling is recognized as one of the first super fuels.

Sea levels continue to rise all over the world causing change to our environment. The impact of high water in Venice last winter is another example.
